1936 Actors’ Fund Benefit

Souvenir Program (9.25" x 12.125")

This is an interesting piece of Hollywood history! “Founded in 1882, the Actors fund addresses the specific needs of entertainment professionals with a unique understanding of the challenges involved with a life in the arts, and with the knowledge of what it takes to thrive in an often unpredictable industry.”

The 49 page program being offered here is from the 55th Annual Actor’s Fund Benefit, which featured Jackie Cooper (who was 14 years old at the time), Dick Powell, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Clark Gable, Claudette Colbert, Joe E. Brown, Nelson Eddy, Leon Errol, Billie Burke and many more celebs of the day, providing entertainment for the program.

Condition: Very Good – With some yellowing of the 88-year-old cover. The front cover also has a dark mark at the top (maybe from a price tag?), a tiny bit of soiling, and a small pen mark. The back cover has a couple of signatures on it (we’re not sure if they are autographs or not) and wear. The centerfold section is detached from the staples (it is in place), but otherwise the interior is in very nice condition. The staples are intact.
