"The biggest, the most beautiful Technicolor romance of America's Golden West!" "Your eyes, your ears, your heart never had a greater thrill!". "Paramount's... most spectacular drama of men who were Titans... and a woman who was their match!". "Three great stars in a spectacle as big and lavish as it's colorful setting!" This classic feature is a fictionalized history of how California was settled, including much about the California Gold Rush.
Condition: Very Fine on Linen - With bright and beautiful colors (although the included images don't do them justice)!
"Wicked" Lily Bishop joins a wagon train to California, led by Michael Fabian and Johnny Trumbo, but news of the Gold Rush scatters the train. When Johnny and Michael finally arrive, Lily is rich from her saloon and storekeeper (former slaver) Pharaoh Coffin is bleeding the miners dry. But worse troubles are ahead: California is inching toward statehood, and certain people want to make it their private empire.
